Twenty-six year old chef and owner, Alexander Yoon, was born in Philadelphia and raised in Plymouth meeting. Alex began his culinary journey an unpaid apprentice at Le Bec Fin under Steve Eckard. He worked in the kitchen at Philadelphia restaurant Serpico before joining Little Fish as a sous chef under then owner Chadd Jenkins.

Alex competed in the cooking competition Ment’or BKB in NYC in November of 2014 and then set sail for Europe, where you studied the culinary techniques of Spain and Italy. While in Europe, Alex was offered an opportunity to work at famed French restuarant, Mirazur, which was ranked the 6th best restaurant in the world in 2016. Instead, he traveled to the US west coast to work in 3 Michelin star kitchens in San Francisco and Napa Valley.

He returned to Philadelphia in late 2016 to take over ownership of Little Fish.
